Arsenal ignoring Ajax chief Overmars' transfer advice: 'Sell Ozil & get Ziyech for half the price!'

The former Gunners winger considers a playmaker he is currently working with at Ajax to be a better player than a World Cup winner in north London.

Hakim Ziyech is “better than Mesut Ozil”, says Marc Overmars, but Arsenal have ignored the advice of a former star to offload a World Cup winner and raid Ajax for a player they could get for the half the price.
Transfer talk continues to rage around German playmaker Ozil  in north London.
Plenty of questions have been asked of his value to the Arsenal cause and his suitability to the system favoured by Gunners boss Unai Emery.
Overmars, who once starred under Arsene Wenger in the Premier League, believes he has a solution to a transfer poser.
The Dutchman, who is currently director of football at Ajax, believes he is working with a player in Amsterdam who could prove to be a shrewd addition for Arsenal on a sporting and financial level.
Overmars told Voetbal International of Ziyech, who contributed 21 goals and 24 assists to the Ajax cause last season:  “I am a bit surprised that it is still so quiet around Hakim.
“I think he has played better every year and his statistics are exceptionally good.
“Many clubs are increasingly looking at that. They look more at the numbers than at what he shows and what is happening around him.
“I think Hakim Ziyech is better than Mesut Ozil. I would tell Arsenal: sell him and you will get Hakim for half the price. But they didn't listen to me. So it could just be that he stays with Ajax.”

BBNaija Princess tells newly evicted 2019 housemates: 'Cut off negative friends, family members'

Lane advised newly evicted 2019 housemates of same reality show to cut off negative friends, family members.

Her advice came in the second week of the reality show that has seen Ella, Kimoprah, Avala and Isilomo evicted, and she also recounted her experience of being evicted early/first in biggies game.

Princess noted that there will be rounds of regrets, but added that the evicted housemates need to  move past that as soon as possible and also surround themselves with positive people only.  She wrote;

"Dear newly evicted housemates. I just wanna say this to you. As someone that had the experience of being evicted early/first in biggies game. .Be sure that you will feel sad , angry…if not immediately, soon.
You will wonder why you were evicted, what happened to all the people “that said they GAT YOU”….oh well now you have seen for yourself.
Dont spend too much time regretting,wishing..the urge will come. But you need to move past it as soon as you can. .Surround yourself with positive people ONLY.
Cut off any friend, family member that calls you to tell you only the things you did wrong in the house. You dont need that now…it will weigh you down greatly. .Pls write down all the things you wanted to do before you entered the house. U must do this quickly and alone. As that will be your guideline through this journey. Or be sure to find yourself running around in a confused circle.
Alot of people will flock  around u.mostly for their selfish gains. Be sure to Use them.  Before they use you. .You will also get lots of promises,be sure to keep your expectations low and most importantly legs closed.
There is so much more to say. But most importantly just know that you will get there. And every ones path to success is very different from the other. .All the best.
P.s I didn’t say this to the earlier evicted house mates because theirs was purely luck. Not that they were voted out. In fact, I thought they would be called back but biggie had other plans i guess. PEACE .”

Algeria vs. Nigeria - Willingness to seize the moment proves the difference

Les Fennecs were clearly superior on the night, despite all the evidence indicating they should not be.

In the week the remake of the timeless classic ‘The Lion King’ was released, there was a reminder on Sunday night of what the sagely Mufasa called “the circle of life”.
The concept of a hierarchical food chain is manifest in nature, and all living things have, and know, their place. So it proves in football also: having preyed upon South Africa in the quarter-final of the Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria were in turn set upon by Algeria in the same way. Not just a defeat, but one which showed just how wide the chasm is between the sides.
Algeria have been the most impressive side in the competition – in their application, in the clarity of their identity and gameplan, in their cohesion. These three things are rarely found in one place in international football, and yet Djamel Belmadi’s side have found a way to mine them inside the 12 months he has been in charge.

Two farmers beheaded as fresh communal clash break out In Cross River

Two persons were reportedly killed in a renewed hostility between Usumtong and Ebom communities in Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Chief Sunday Obite, the village head of Ebom, on Sunday, claimed that one Oti Ato and his son were allegedly beheaded by people from Usumtong village on Saturday. Obite said;
“The man and his family were harvesting cassava when they were attacked by the Usumutong people. According to the grandson, who is currently receiving treatment in the hospital in Itigidi, he saw them behead his grandfather and father from his hiding place in the bush.
“They even made the wife, Eliza Oti, watch while they behead her husband and her son and asked her to take the message to her people. We believed that since soldiers are present, peace had returned but we have been proven wrong once again. Even as they steal our farm produce, we kept mute but now they have started again by killing a father and his son in the presence of the wife.”
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relation Officer in Cross River State, DSP Irene Ugbo, said, “We are aware of the killings and the Commissioner of Police has deployed men there. Rape allegations: Christian Association of Nigeria leaders visit COZA, pledge support for Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has pledged to stand and support the Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, who has been accused of rape by wife of singer, Timi Dakolo, Busola, and another anonymous lady.

Recall that Busola granted an interview where she alleged that Fatoyinbo who was her Pastor when she was much younger, raped her in her father's apartment when she was 17 and went on to have sex with her a few other times. The news was greeted with widespread condemnation and even a protest was staged in front of COZA church in Abuja and Lagos. Fatoyinbo was forced to step aside as the Senor Pastor of the Church. He released a statement, denying the allegation and vowing to challenge his accusers in court.

During the church's service yesterday Sunday July 14th, the president of CAN Abuja, Reverend Jonah Samson and CAN President North Central, Reverend Israel Akanji, came visiting where they spoke to the congregation, pledging their support and prayers for Fatoyinbo and COZA church as they face this hard times.

In his speech, Reverend Jonah said CAN is behind Fatoyinbo and COZA as they stand this trying period.
''I assure you that we are with you and we will continue to be with you. We are in support of the church. We are in support of your pastor. We stand by him. and this church will continue to match forward. The I declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against this church in the mighty name of Jesus'' Reverend Jonah said

On his part, Reverend Akanji in his speech, said Jesus expects his followers to be like the good Samaritan who was there to give help to a wounded soldier and not turn his back on such a soldier. He also pledged his support to Fatoyinbo and COZA, adding that many Christians were praying for them.

Study Abroad Health Insurance International Students 2019

If you are planning to study abroad at an international school or university, you will be required by both your school and your host country to have adequate international student insurance when you are visiting. The international health insurance policy provides for illness and accident expense protection.

This policy will help you find a hospital that can pay for your treatments. So! for your well being, this article has made provisions for every detail you will need to know about the study abroad health insurance for international student.

STEP 1
Meet with your advisor at school. If your trip is school-sponsored or you are in an exchange program, the school might have made arrangements to provide low-cost insurance to participants. Even if you will travel independently, some schools offer discounts for specific travel insurance companies. Your advisor also can help you work through exclusions and limitations and compare different plans.

STEP 2

Check major insurance websites such as travelguard.com. Some companies specialize in student travel, while others offer coverage for travelers of all ages. You can customize a plan that is right for you, combining theft insurance, trip cancellation insurance, and other products with your health insurance for a single fee. Make sure you read the fine print, as each policy has its own requirements and exclusions.

STEP 3

Roll insurance into your package. Most tour operators allow you to add health insurance to your package for a low rate. If you are going on a guided tour or a cruise, this is often the cheapest option. If you are combining several trips with different companies, add up the total price of insuring each segment individually and compare it to the cost of independently ensuring your entire trip.

STEP 5

Look at global health insurance plans at websites such as globalhealthinsurance.net and offshorehealth.com. If you travel extensively or are planning to study abroad, you might be eligible for a global health insurance plan. The plans are accepted in dozens of countries around the globe, but function like traditional health insurance. You can choose your deductible and level of coverage. United States citizens must reside abroad for six months of the year in order to qualify.

Things to know about medical insurance for international

 1. Know why you need international student health insurance.

Regardless of how old you are, how well-traveled you are, or your relative health (future Olympian vs. hours-spent-watching-Sarabhai-vs-Sarabhai-on-couch-record-holder), there are very real risks that need to be prepared for before studying in the United States. Yes, remembering to pack your favorite hair products or must-have tennis shoes is important, but your international student health insurance carries even more weight. Not having health insurance coverage in the United States—a country particularly notorious for expensive health care costs—can have lifelong consequences for both your health AND your bank account.

2. Memorize the terminology.

it’s helpful to know the definitions of a few important terms, like:
  1. Claim: A claim is sent if an accident occurs. You can do this by hand or online. You usually need to submit receipts, reports, and photos with this.
  2. Premium: This is what you pay every month—or every six months—to have insurance. It’s like a Netflix subscription. But WAY less fun.
  3. Deductible: This is a predetermined amount that YOU must pay BEFORE insurance begins paying IF you have a problem. This can range significantly and will impact your premiums; the higher your deductible, the lower your monthly costs generally are. The deductible is the maximum amount you will have to pay in a year before insurance kicks in.
  4. Co-Insurance: Beyond your deductible, your plan might include co-insurance payments, which is a percentage of what you’ll be charged after your deductible is reached/exceeded. This is typically a percentage, like 10%.
  5. Co-payment or co-pay: This is a fixed amount that you’ll have to pay the doctor when services are rendered.
  6. In and out of network: When you have health insurance in the United States, it will likely fall in one of two categories—HMO (Health Maintenance Organizations) or PPO (Preferred Provider Organization). This means different rates for services depending on if procedures are performed by certain individuals who are in or out of network.

 3. Fulfill the health insurances requirements necessary for your visa.

Your international student health insurance requirements will vary based on your full-time student statuses—aka your J1 vs. F1 visa.
