Chelsea defeat West Brom 3-0 in Premier League match

Premier League champions Chelsea on Monday night redeemed themselves in front of their faithfuls as they defeated visiting West Brom 3-0 in a Premier League match. The visitors should have went ahead in the 11th minute when Jay Rodriquez had a superb chance to score, but to the surprise of many, he missed the golden opportunity. Victor Moses was also superb for Chelsea as he tried to locate Frenchman Olivier Giroud with a dangerous cross, but the former Arsenal man was unable to make use of the ball.

The Blues tried all their best to score another goal, but West Brom defenders refused to give any room for gaffe as the first half ended with Chelsea leading. Super Eagles striker Victor Moses netted the second goal for the Blues in the 63rd minute after a superb exchange between him and Cesc Fabregas in which West Brom goalie Ben Foster was helpless. Spanish striker Alvaro Morata who just recuperated from injury came in and provided the assist that helped Eden Hazard to score the third goal in the 71st minute as Chelsea won the match 3-0.
