The United States has agreed to proceed to supply fighter jets to Nigeria as the country continues to make moves to defeat Boko Haram terrorism.

There has been speculation that relationship between the two countries had strained due to Nigeria voting in support of the UN that rejected President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

However in a statement by Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya who is the director of public relations of the Nigerian Air Force on Wednesday, December 27, it was revealed that the US was committed to helping Nigeria fight insurgency.
