As Attempts To Disrupt Rally By APC Thugs Fails.

BENIN - A front line Edo APC Chieftain, immediate Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Council in Edo state and also a Former State Chairman of the Association of Local governments, ALGON, Mrs. Itohan Osahon-Ogbeide formally dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for People's Democratic Party (PDP) with over 2000 members in Benin city.

While addressing the gathering, the Edo State Chairman of the PDP Chief Dan Orbih (Kulukulu 1 of Africa) yesterday in Benin City declared that the party was on course to clinch victory and chase out the Buhari led APC government out of Aso Rock in the next general elections.

"I am saying this, because Nigerians are tired of the APC government which in the last three years has continually foisted insecurity, executive lawlessness, poverty, hunger and starvation on the masses"

Dan Orbih said, “Democracy is on trial in Nigeria. Democracy is under serious threat with impunity, executive recklessness and intimidation of perceived enemies of the APC. Let me tell today, they have made our job less easier compared to how we won Edo in 2015”.

Receiving the defectors, Orbih declared, “That in Ikpoba-okha LGA what we see is a mass exodus of people from darkness (APC) to light (PDP), Let me assure you all that more are coming to join us very soon”.

"We are a parry that believes in building not demolish, Governor Obaseki following the footsteps of his father Adams Oshiomhole has commenced the demolishing of building structures in Benin City without proper compensation given, this can't happen in a PDP government" he stated.

While Speaking, Hon. Itohan Osahon Ogbeide said that her decision to dump the ruling APC was as a result of the unprecedented suffering and Insecurity been experienced in the nation as women can no longer go to farm for fear of being raped by the marauder Fulani herdsmen.

Continuing she said, “When i was Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha LGA, i performed very well with various infrastructural projects initiated and completed. If they say, I am not important to them (APC) why are they panicky. They are threatened and jealous of my capacity and decision to leave the APC. Today I am leaving the APC for the PDP with over 2,000 of my supporters", she declared.

However, there was a mild drama as hoodlums suspected to be APC thugs made attempts to disrupt the event but was vehemently resisted.

Those present at the event were Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, 2016 PDP governorship candidate, PDP Vice-Chairman Deacon Nosa Ehima Edo South Senatorial leader, Barr. Nosa Adams, Hon. Pascal Ugbome, Chief Frank Erewele, Chris Nehikhare, state publicity secretary and other party chieftains.
