Natalee Holloway's Unsolved Disappearance and All the Twists That Went Wrong

Natalee Holloway
When shards of bone were discovered in Aruba a few years ago, Dave Holloway hoped against hope that DNA testing would prove the remains were of his daughter, Natalee Holloway, who went missing in 2005 while on a high school graduation trip to the Caribbean island. It would be a sad, disturbing result, but at least it would be an answer in a case that remains largely composed of questions.

It took a year and a half of working under the radar with the help of an informant to locate the spot where the remains were found, behind a house that had been previously mentioned over the course of the sporadically eventful investigation.

"We've had a number of disappointments and I've put up a wall trying to find something that's not gonna disappoint me," Holloway said on Today in August 2017. "And when we determined that these remains were human, I was shocked, and I know that there's a possibility this could be someone else, and I'm just trying to wait and see."

But that October it was revealed that the mitochondrial DNA wasn't a match to a sample provided by Natalee's mother, Beth Holloway. The bones didn't belong to Natalee.

Another dead end

"Out of the four individual bone samples only one was found to be human," forensic scientist Jason Kolowski, who tested the samples, explained to Oxygen, which chronicled Dave Holloway's journey with private investigator T.J. Ward as they followed what felt at the time to be their most promising lead in years.

"We don't know if the person is male or female," Kolowski added. "We don't know how old that person is. We don't know how long that person has been dead."

For the past 14 years, the investigation into Holloway's disappearance has carried on in fits and spurts, with light occasionally appearing at the end of the tunnel, only to be snuffed out at the first whiff of closure. In the meantime, books have been written, Lifetime made two movies about the case, news-magazine shows have covered it top to bottom, and every theory in the book has been floated—including that Natalee is still alive, or at least was for years after the events of May 30, 2005, transpired. Whatever those events were, exactly.

Despite all the media attention and so many law-enforcement hours spent trying to find out what happened, definitive answers have remained out of reach. But numerous times, authorities and Natalee's family seemed to be getting closer.

Morrissey posters removed from train stations by Merseyrail over singer's far-right support

Merseyrail says the advertising "does not reflect the organisation’s values" after a passenger said the posters were offensive.

Posters promoting Morrissey's new album have been removed from train stations by Merseyrail after a customer complained it was publicising someone with "pseudo-racist" views.

Jack Dotchin, from Toxteth, told the Liverpool Echo that the singer's views "offend me and a lot of other people".

"He's very far right these days, going on about immigrants and being pseudo-racist.

"It's just strange to think Merseyrail, being a public service for the people, is advertising someone with his views."

Morrissey, who has denied being racist on many occasions, has recently been criticised for his support of far-right party For Britain Movement, whose leader, Anne Marie Waters, has described Islam as "evil".

Earlier this month, he appeared on US chat show The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon wearing a For Britain lapel badge.

Ms Waters thanked Morrissey for raising the profile of the party, saying: "I can tell you that the traffic to our website exploded with the story breaking of you wearing the For Britain button badge."

He also spoke in support of Tommy Robinson after the far-right activist was jailed for contempt of court last summer, calling his treatment "shocking".

Morrissey has previously spoken out against halal and kosher meat production as well as immigration into the UK, and once described the Chinese as a "sub-species".

The posters were advertising the former Smiths frontman's new solo album, California Son, which was released on Friday.

But the world's oldest record store, Spillers Records in Cardiff, refused to stock the album due to Morrissey's support for For Britain.

Mr Dotchin called Merseyrail to ask why they thought it was appropriate to carry the adverts, but was told posters across the service are placed by ad agency, Exterion Media.

The network said it has processes to approve "potentially contentious" material, but the album poster was not verified because of the "nature of the advertisement".

It has promised to improve its processes and apologised for any offence the posters caused.

"Any content used within advertising on the Merseyrail network does not reflect the organisation's values and we apologise for any offence the publication of these posters may have caused," it told the paper.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick Are Moving In Together: ''We're at the Next Step In Our Relationship''

Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jason Tartick

Movin' on up!

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick are taking the "next steps" in their relationship with not one but two major announcements. While on the former Bachelorette's podcast, Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe, the couple shared the exciting news that they're moving in together. Even cuter? They adopted a dog, which they adorably named Ramen Noodle.

"Guess what everybody," the reality TV star said, before revealing her and Jason's announcement. "Two very big things in the news today, in my world anyways… Jason is moving to Nashville!"

Of the move, Tartick explained that "it didn't make sense" for them to be so far away from each other.

"Kaitlyn and I got to a point where being across the entire country didn't make sense," he said. "I think that for the short term and the long term, Nashville was the best place for us to be. It puts us back on the east coast. I'll be a few hour-drive from my parents, quick drive from my brother, and, it puts us in a better position for short and long-term."

Bristowe chimed in and shared that they plan to renovate their new place, and do a little "flippity-flip-flip" with their home.

For Jason, he explained moving in together was pretty much a no-brainer at this point. "We're at the next step in our relationship, where we want to grow even more and we can't do that in long distance." Adding, "And we've done it."

Moreover, the couple revealed the new addition to their home: a pup! "We are getting the dog June 3," Kaitlyn shared.

Taking to Instagram both reality TV personalities announced the sweet news. "A friendship turned to a relationship and now a relationship turned to a little fam. This morning, Kaitlyn and I made a decision to adopt," Jason captioned his Instagram post. "We are so excited to give Ramen the life and love he deserves...all under the same roof!"

Naturally, the couple gave fellow Bachelor alum Colton Underwood the honor of being their pet's godfather.

In the words of Jason, the couple's next chapter is "exciting."

Victoria posted a throwback Brits pic while David paid tribute with a photo of his wife, saying: "There's only one Posh Spice."

Victoria Beckham has wished her fellow Spice Girls good luck as they start their comeback tour - and husband David has also posted his own message of support.

Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm - aka Baby, Ginger, Scary and Sporty - announced they would be reuniting in November last year, and return to the stage for the first Spice Girls gig in Dublin tonight.

But they will not be joined by Posh, now a successful fashion designer, who said when the shows were confirmed that she would not be part of the tour.

Ahead of tonight's show, Beckham posted a photo of the band's famous 1997 Brit Awards performance, at which Geri wore the Union Jack dress that has gone down in the ceremony's history.

Next to the picture, she posted: "Good luck to the girls today as they start their tour! x VB #SpiceGirls #FriendshipNeverEnds."

In his message on Instagram, David Beckham posted a picture of his wife dressed in a PVC catsuit in the Say You'll Be There Video - which he has famously said was the reason he fell in love with her.

"As someone that has lived with Posh Spice for the last 23 years I know how emotional today is going to be but I just want to wish all the girls good luck with their amazing tour.

The Story of Jayme Closs' Escape From the Man Who Kidnapped Her and Killed Her Parents Remains Incredible

Jayme Closs

Jayme Closs' story sounds like a nightmare that, against all odds, concluded with the miraculous.

Answering the prayers of her family and an entire city that was hoping she would come home, the 13-year-old is alive, having managed to escape her abductor three interminably long months after her parents were killed in their Wisconsin home.

Jake Thomas Patterson was sentenced to life in prison Friday after pleading guilty in March to two counts of intentional homicide and one count of kidnapping.

According to NBC News, Jayme stayed away but said in a statement read in court by attorney Chris Gramstrup: "He stole my parents from me. He stole almost everything I loved from me. For 88 days he tried to steal me and he didn't care who he hurt or who he killed to do that. He should stay locked up forever.

"He can't take my freedom. He thought he could own me, but he was wrong. I was smarter. I watched his routine and I took back my freedom. I will always have my freedom and he will not."

Barron County Circuit Court Judge James Babler, calling Patterson "the embodiment of evil," already denied his attorney's request that he be eligible for supervised release in 2072.

"I'll just say that I would do, like, absolutely anything to take back what I did. I would die," a visibly emotional Patterson said in court. "I don't care about me, I just am sorry. That's all."

What happened to Jayme during those torturous 88 days before she was found in January is unfathomable, but the very fact that she is now with family members and on the road to recovery was an unexpectedly happy ending to this story. Most children who go missing, if they've been kidnapped by a predator, don't come back at all if they aren't found in the first 24 hours.

Not infrequently, there can be some disagreement or confusion in those critical first few hours as to whether a child has actually been abducted—and in 2018, less than 1 percent of 25,000 missing-children cases that involved law enforcement were categorized as nonfamily abductions, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

But there was no misunderstanding about the scene that greeted law enforcement in the early morning hours of Oct. 15, 2018.

Responding to a 911 call that came in at approximately 12:53 a.m. from a then-unknown person, Barron County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the home of James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, at roughly 1 a.m. Both were dead from gunshot wounds, Denise in the bathtub and James by the front door. Their daughter, Jayme, was nowhere to be found. It appeared that someone had broken in through the front door, and no gun was found in the house.

Several 12-gauge shotgun shells were found, one on the ground next to the steps outside the front door, one near James' body inside and one in the hallway directly in front of the bathroom.

Authorities dispatched drones and dogs and utilized infrared equipment to search the area, and later that day investigators went to Jayme's middle school, where she danced and ran track, to gather more information. An Amber Alert was also issued for the 100-pound, 5'-tall teen, but they had no vehicle information to go with it.

"At the end of the day, I want a 13-year-old here safe and sound," Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald told reporters. "That's our goal. That's our only goal right now."

Jayme was not considered a suspect in her parents' death, authorities quickly confirmed.

Among the more than 200 tips that poured in within two days, the Miami Police Department released an alert the night of Oct. 15 that a girl matching Jayme's description had been seen at a gas station with two well-dressed, bearded men driving a black Ford Explorer with a Wisconsin license plate. "If you have any information please call 911 immediately," Miami PD tweeted.

But what at first sounded like a promising lead didn't amount to anything. A week later, authorities released two more descriptions of vehicles of interest, a black Acura MDX or Ford Edge and a red or orange Dodge Challenger.

Deputies now know that they did see the car that Barron County prosecutors say carried Jayme away from her home that night; they passed right by it as they approached the Closses' house, according to court documents.

Since deputies didn't know the nature of the call they were responding to yet, they had no reason to pull that car over. Barron County Sheriff's Deputy Jon Fick later stated that he remembered passing a maroon vehicle that, to him, appeared to be an older model Ford Taurus, in the dark that night. It was the only car he observed coming from that direction.

Meanwhile, in addition to a missing girl, law enforcement also had a double homicide on their hands.

A vigil was held at a church in the Barron County village of Cameron for James, Denise and Jayme on the night of Oct. 16 as people in the close-knit community held out hope for the child's safe return. Blue (Jayme's favorite color) and green (representing missing-child awareness) ribbons were passed out to the crowd.

Spice Girls: The history of girl power in pictures

The Spice Girls at the Brit Awards in 1997

As the Spice Girls reunite for their first tour shows in 11 years, Sky News' arts and entertainment reporter Gemma Peplow takes a nostalgic trip through Spice World.
In July 1996, five women who would soon become known as Baby, Ginger, Scary, Sporty and Posh burst to the top of the charts with Wannabe, the song that urged the world to zig-a-zig-ah while shouting proudly about the virtues of female friendship and empowerment.
Wannabe stayed at number one in the UK for seven weeks before going on to top the charts in dozens of countries around the world, including the US. It became the biggest-selling single ever by a girl group, paving the way for eight more UK number one singles and global domination.
Here you go, just for old times' sake.
Despite being one of the biggest and most recognisable UK acts of the 1990s, the Spice Girls were only active as a five-piece for a short space of time, with Ginger Spice Geri announcing her departure in May 1998, less than two years after their first chart success, leaving Victoria, Emma and Mels B and C to continue as a foursome.
In the time they were together, girl power took over the world.
Now, 25 years after they formed in 1994, the Spice Girls are back: Ginger, Sporty, Scary and Baby (no Posh this time, sadly), are on tour once again.
As fans get ready to embrace girl power, here's a look back at the history of the Spice Girls, from their first rehearsals to pinching Prince Charles's bum; Spice World, the Olympics reunion and of course, Geri's famous Union Jack dress.

We're finally getting an intimate and personal look at the emotional aftermath of the Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods cheating scandal.

A just-released mid-season trailer for Keeping Up With the Kardashians shows just how sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner handled the explosive incident that rocked their family back in February of this year.

"I don't even know if I should tell you this," a voice that appears to be Kim Kardashian's BFF Larsa Pippen says via phone call in the dramatic video.

"Her legs were like in between his legs," a second voice adds.

Cut to Khloe breaking down in tears and saying, "I am broken by so many things."

"This is going to change their relationship forever," Kris Jenner says before telling Kylie, "For you and Jordyn, it's like a divorce."

"She f--ked up," Kylie admits for the first time since the scandal.

Later, Kylie consoles Khloe, telling her, "Just know I love you."

"One day, she's just going to explode," Kim later admits.

Then, Kylie is heard saying over the phone, "I look in her eyes, she's just really going through it."

In addition to the Tristan-Jordyn drama, sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian are also butting heads. "I don't understand how my own sister is like talking s--t about me," the supermodel complains.

"I didn't even know there was a problem," Kourt says before Kendall erupts, "She will go out of her way to make me look crazy!"

Kendall Jenner and Ben Simmons Split After 1 Year: What Went Wrong?

Kendall Jenner, Ben Simmons

Kendall Jenner and her basketball star beau Ben Simmons have called it quits.

A source confirms to E! News that the couple has split up after one year together, with distance playing a role in the breakup.

"Ben and Kendall split recently before the Met Gala. They are still on fine terms and have been in touch," the insider shares with E! News, adding that the distance between the Los Angeles based supermodel and the Philadelphia 76ers star "was getting to be a lot."

"She cares about Ben and always wants to end her relationships on good terms," the source continues. "Kendall knew she had several out of the country trips coming up and thought it would be best if they took some space. It's been hard for them with the time differences and both of their schedules but there is a chance they will get back together."

The 23-year-old model has typically remained mum about her relationships and seems to enjoy keeping them out of the public eye. She's only spoken about Ben on a few occasions, including recently in Vogue Australia. The magazine reports that during her cover shoot, Kendall spent a few minutes on FaceTime with Ben and held up a copy of GQ Australia, whose cover he graced for their March/April issue (he was born in Australia).

She spoke a bit about their relationship and why she prefers to keep things under the radar.

"For me, a lot of things are very special and very sacred, like my friends and relationships, and I personally think that bringing things into the public makes everything so much messier," she shared.

Kendall continued, "I'm very young and right now I feel like relationships aren't always super-certain and I don't want to bring too much attention to something if you don't really know long term [what it's going to be]. A relationship is only meant to be between two people, and the second you make it the world's business is when it starts messing with the two people mentally. Like once everyone is let in, you're letting all these opinions into your relationships, and I don't think that's fair."

Enough is enough: It's time for a family intervention.

In recent months, there have been more than a few unfavorable headlines in regards to Mama June.

But instead of just staying quiet and idle, many family members are coming together to make sure the reality star gets some help.

In a sneak peek of Mama June From Not To Hot, viewers watch as Alanah "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon and more plead for change.

"Do you not understand that I am staying with my sister and that's not by choice," Honey Boo Boo shared while tearing up. "It's not my choice."

E! News has learned that the intervention was a direct request made by Mama June's family. Dr. Ish Major stepped in to lead the family meeting. And for those wondering if Mama June's boyfriend was involved, we're told Geno stayed away as many believe he isn't good for Mama June.

"I hate my f--king self," Mama June shared in the sneak peek. "I want to f--king kill the person that I am now."

Back in March, E! News confirmed that Mama June was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

As for her relationship with Geno, many family members have expressed their concerns. But in a recent interview with E! News, Mama June shared just how special he was.

"You never know what the future holds," she teased. "Right now, I'm very much still in love with him. Very, very happy. I don't see [the relationship] ending anytime soon."

Mama June From Not To Hot: The Road To Intervention airs Friday night at 9 p.m. on WE tv. And watch the season finale May 31 at 9 p.m. also on WE tv.

Akpabio plotting to tamper with my assets files at CCB - Ekpenyong

The Senator-elect for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District (Akwa Ibom North-West), Dr. Chris Ekpenyong, has alerted security agencies, alleging former governor Godswill Akpabio, was conniving with official of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to tamper with his asset declaration forms.
Speaking in an interview in Uyo, the state capital alleged that “Akpabio has paid an official of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), a senior Director in-charge of intelligence and investigation to tamper with my asset declaration forms”.
“I have it on good authority that Akpabio, having failed the election with no hope for him at the tribunal, has gone as far as bribing that CCB Director from Kebbi state to search the file I submitted when I was the Deputy Governor between 1999 and 2005 and the one I submitted before the election in 2015.
“He has gone to the CCB to compel them to launch investigation against me since he could not as usual bribe his way through the election petition tribunal.
“So I want to inform the security agencies to hold Akpabio and that CCB Director from Kebbi state responsible should they hack into the CCB vault to remove the documents in order to manipulate the contents against what I submitted.
“I am the one that submitted the documents and I have the photocopies of my asset declaration forms, so I want the security agencies to take note of this and investigate this allegation to establish the truth.
He told security operatives and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe into Akpabio’s record between 2002, when he became a Commissioner and 2015 when he left the state’s political space as governor “to ascertain the assets he acquired match his legitimate earnings”

Game of Thrones: George RR Martin hints at ending for his books after TV finale

Daenerys and Cersei weigh their options as an epic conflict looms at King...s Landing. Pic: HBO/SkyAtlantic

The Game Of Thrones author is still writing the final instalments A Song Of Ice And Fire, with the last book published in 2011.

Game Of Thrones creator George RR Martin has given hints about the ending of his books after seeing the hit series come to an end - and also said he suspects we have "not seen the last of Westeros" on TV.

The author wrote about the finale of the epic fantasy series on his blog, saying it had been "a wild ride" since his first meeting with the show's writers David Benioff and DB Weiss more than a decade ago.

He is still writing the final instalments of his series of books, A Song Of Ice And Fire, with Game Of Thrones the show having overtaken the published novels - the last one released in 2011 - in its sixth season.

Martin helped producers as they continued the story on screen and there has been much speculation about whether the ending will turn out to be true to his original vision.

In his blog post, Martin promised the sixth and seventh books, The Winds Of Winter and A Dream Of Spring, "will be done".

"I'm writing," he said. "Winter is coming, I told you, long ago… and so it is.

"The Winds Of Winter is very late, I know, I know, but it will be done. I won't say when, I've tried that before, only to burn you all and jinx myself… but I will finish it, and then will come A Dream Of Spring.

The Meaningful Reason Why Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Named Their Son Psalm

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West

What's in a name?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child on May 10 and revealed one week later that they named their baby boy Psalm West. Fans immediately began theorizing what his name would be, but Psalm was not on the list. Some of those included Bear (thanks to an emoji that she used when announcing his birth), Teddy (like the bear), Don (for Kanye's mother Donda West) or Rob in honor of Kim's late father, Robert Kardashian. That also happens to be her brother's name, too.

Alas, they surprised fans around the world by naming him Psalm and it carries a special connotation for the family. Psalm means "song" in Hebrew and there's also the Book of Psalms in the Bible. One source told E! News that Psalm "was chosen by Kanye and is a representation of their spirituality."

They explained, "It was a very important to him, and Kim wanted the name to have a significance that held a true representation of their family, so she agreed on the name."

A second source shared similar sentiments about the meaning. "The name Psalm was very important to Kanye and where he is spiritually," they said. "He presented it to Kim and she thought about it and ultimately agreed."

The second source added, "Kanye felt very strongly about it and Kim thought the way he explained it and the meaning behind it was beautiful. Each name they have chosen has a special significance."

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, North West, Chicago West, Saint West

The name Psalm just "felt right."

All of the West children have personal stories and definitions behind their names. For their oldest kid North West, it's all about the geographical position and what it signifies.

"North means highest power," a source said at the time.

Saint West's name refers back to her "difficult pregnancy" and how he was "a blessing" for the family. Kim apparently also liked the name Easton, but Kanye wasn't a fan.

It turns out that they almost named their other daughter, Chicago West, Grace or Jo. But Kanye hails from the Windy City, thus it's an homage to the city "that made him."

Both sources referred to Kim and Kanye's spirituality and religion as a focal point for the moniker, which likely has to do with the genesis of Kanye's Sunday Service. The KKW Beauty owner has explained the services as an interfaith "healing experience." Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian are also among the weekly attendees as well as their close friends. Other celebrities such as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and Diplo have stopped by for the Sunday morning ritual.

North has taken after her father as of late and has stolen the show with her performances a number of times.

"It's honestly more like a healing experience for my husband. It's just music; there's no sermon," Kim recently told Elle. "It's definitely something he believes in—Jesus—and there's a Christian vibe. But there's no preaching. It's just a very spiritual Christian experience."

She said that her Muslim and Jewish friends have attended the services and love them. "Everyone that comes understands it's just a really healing experience with an amazing choir, and amazing messages about love to start off your week," Kim explained.

Kanye's Sunday Service became so popular so quickly that he even transplanted the services from Calabasas to Indio, Calif. just for Coachella. The timely service occurred on Easter Sunday during weekend two of the festival and featured cameos by Chance the Rapper, La La Anthony, Tyler, the Creator, DMX and Teyana Taylor

Psalm's arrival has been nothing short of wonderful for the family of six. According to the first source, "Their relationship is in a really good place right now and they are more in love than ever. They both really feel complete since welcoming Psalm and love the craziness of having four kids around the house."

The second source also shared, "They are all about family time and being home with the baby right now. They are taking it day by day and just getting settled and adjusted to life with four kids."

There's just so much to celebrate around the Kardashian-West household. It's only a few more days until the parents celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary, too. They exchanged I do's in Florence, Italy on May 24, 2014.

Congratulations on baby no. 4, Kim and Kanye!

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown says bullies forced her to change schools

Millie Bobby Brown at a Hollywood premiere of her new movie, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters

The actress, who is a vocal anti-bullying campaigner and Unicef Goodwill Ambassador, was forced off Twitter by cyberbullies.

Millie Bobby Brown, the British star of hit show Stranger Things has said she was forced to change schools by "soul-breaking bullies" in England.
Brown, 15, who was forced off Twitter by cyberbullies, has been a vocal anti-bullying campaigner and became Unicef's youngest Goodwill Ambassador last year.
She said: "I was bullied at school back in England. I actually switched schools because of it, it created a lot of anxiety and issues that I still deal with today.
"I have dealt with situations both in real life and online that are soul-breaking and it genuinely hurts reading some of the things people have said."
The actress, who makes her film debut in the upcoming Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, said: "Young people's lives are increasingly under pressure. First of all, I want to make sure that children are protected from violence and exploitation.
"I also want to combat the negativity on social media - I have experienced it - it's like a disease. It's negative hate that is genuinely so horrifying to me. Climate change is so important too."
Brown will be back in season three of Stranger Things when the multi award-winning drama returns to Netflix in July, calling the show "one of the most important things in my life.

A Must-Win War: The Real Battle That Prince Harry and Prince William Are Busy Fighting Every Day

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Throwback, Royal Wedding, 1-Year Anniversary, Kate Middleton, Prince Louis

Damned when they don't, damned when they do.

For the past six years, Prince William and Kate Middletonhave been criticized by traditionalist royal-watchers for not making their children—starting with Prince George, and then followed by Princess Charlotteand Prince Louis—more "available." As in, they don't trot their kids out for photographers nearly enough for the liking of those who prefer heartier helpings of royal sightings, especially of George, who's third in line to the throne.

Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been relatively stingy when it comes to sharing those adorable faces with the world, largely waiting for birthdays and the usual milestones—christenings, birthdays, first day of school, wearing a bathrobe to meet President Obama—to release photos, many of them shot by Kate herself. And while George, who turns 6 on July 22, has had more big public moments to speak of than his siblings, including a tour of Australia and New Zealand at 8-months-old, he's still a fairly elusive fellow. Charlotte, who can turn the world on with a wave, doesn't show up if her brother doesn't, and 1-year-old Louis has looked completely different every time we've seen him, so rarely has he been seen.

And yet when some new family photos were released this weekend, the Cambridges were accused of questionable timing.

Apparently it's taboo now to release photos on the same day that someone else releases photos—when that someone else is a very close relative.

In keeping with what's been the theme of the past 12 months for the young royals—or at least the theme that's been supplied for them—Kate and William are facing charges of stealing thunder for sharing family photos just a few hours after Prince Harry and Meghan Marklereleased never-before-seen photos in celebration of their first wedding anniversary.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex otherwise enjoyed their anniversary privately but released a slew of new wedding pictures, setting the slideshow on their @sussexroyal Instagram page to "This Little Light of Mine," which they used for their recessional—another poignant moment of cultural diversity that made Harry and Meghan's 2018 nuptials a wedding the likes of which most of this family had never experienced, let alone taken part in.

Later on Sunday, the Cambridges shared photos and video from their family trip to the garden Kate designed as part of the Chelsea Flower Show, complete with a barefoot George navigating the rocks around a little flowing stream, Charlotte on a rope swing and Louis toddling around—the first time we've seen him walking.

"It was a case of anything you can do, I can do better," a veteran royal watcher told the Daily Express afterward.

Wait, what?

According to some, the Sussexes and the Cambridges seem to be locked into a game of one-upmanship, with feathers being automatically ruffled when one's good works, which in theory should be the headline of the day, end up overshadowed by competing news that the other one has made.

Short of only working on alternate days so as not to upstage each other, it sounds as though certain clashes can't be avoided entirely. But this is really nothing new for this family.

Even no-nonsense Princess Anne, who is near the top every year when it comes to hours worked (i.e. official appearances made) but also doesn't particularly care for the whole endlessly-wave-and shake-hands part of the job, got annoyed when stories about what Princess Dianawas doing or wearing would knock the stories about the causes she was advocating for on any given day off the page.

Game Of Thrones: Sophie Turner hits out at 'disrespectful' petition calling for remake

Sansa Stark was joined by her sister Arya in Winterfell in season eight

The Sansa Stark actress says for fans to "rubbish" the series "because it's not what they want to see is just disrespectful".

Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner has hit out at a petition calling for a remake of the final series, saying it is "disrespectful" to those who "worked tirelessly" on the show for more than 10 years.
The actress, who plays Sansa Stark, spoke out about the reaction to season eight after her character was crowned Queen of the North in the last ever episode on Monday.
Fans have been divided by the Game Of Thrones final series, with many criticising it for being rushed and more than 1.3 million people signing the petition set up to demand HBO remakes it.

Leonardo DiCaprio Snaps Photos of Girlfriend Camila Morrone at Cannes

Leonardo DiCaprio, Camila Morrone

We know Leonardo DiCaprio is good at sketching (or pretending to, anyway), but when it comes to capturing the beauty of the women in his real life, he's more of an iPhone kind of guy.

The 44-year-old Oscar winner played fashion photographer for girlfriend Camila Morrone on Sunday, using his smartphone to take pics of her outside Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, where many celebs are staying during the Cannes Film Festival. The 21-year-old American-Argentinian model and actress showcased playful poses in a long sleeve, white polka dot maxi dress.

Morrone is in Cannes to promote her latest film, Mickey and the Bear. DiCaprio is there to promote And We Go Green, a documentary he produced about electric street racing, and his role in Quentin Tarantino's movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which also stars his girlfriend's stepfather, Al Pacino.

Morrone and DiCaprio first sparked romance rumors in December 2017 and were spotted together months later at Coachella. Last November, a source told E! News, "It is getting more serious. They've been inseparable for the last year and are crazy about one another. They've gotten to know each other's families and they love being together."

Moronne and DiCaprio have yet to make their red carpet debut as a couple. On Saturday, she attended the Cannes premiere of Les Plus Belles Annees D'Une Vie alone.

Also in attendance at the event: German star Toni Garrn, one of DiCaprio's ex-girlfriends. The 26-year-old is also a model and actress.

'I'm not ready for it to end': Growing up with Game Of Thrones

For those of a certain age, the Game Of Thrones phenomenon has followed us from school, to university and into the world of work.

"Winter is coming," uttered Ned Stark, warning of a seemingly impending doom that could change the future of Westeros before audiences had even had much of a chance to get a sense for its present.

Amid all the introductions to the then relatively carefree lives of the characters of Game Of Thrones, it was a bleak hint to those who tuned into the debut episode more than eight years ago that things would soon take a turn for the worse.

But, with sixth form in full flow and still somewhat embarrassingly untrusted with the Sky box PIN required to open my eyes to a world of brutal murder and little modesty, my focus was instead firmly placed on a different - if not similarly menacing - warning: "Exams are coming."

Growing up in a household that required me to make covert visits to a friend to sample the new Grand Theft Auto or other such adult entertainment (sorry, Mum, sometimes it wasn't actually homework), Thrones meant the living room door was kept firmly shut each Monday evening to ensure my younger sister and I were not too easily exposed to the horrors of beheadings and brothels.

"But look how young that girl looks," my sister would likely have thought of Arya Stark, wondering why she was deemed unsuited to watching a show that starred a girl even fresher-faced than the both of us.
